The term wireless surveillance cameras usually means that it’s a camera that transmits the video wirelessly to a receiver. This could be a hidden camera in your home, or a security camera in a retail store. The advantage is that there is no wiring that needs to be done to install these types of surveillance cameras. In the past, most cameras needed to be hard wired both for power and for the video feed. These days you can get a camera that runs by a rechargeable battery, and transmits the video to a receiver. This makes them truly a wireless surveillance camera. This makes it very easy to install the camera, or to move it to other locations once you start using it. In the case of a hidden camera, the wireless versions are nice because you can move them from room to room in your home. This is helpful because the good ones come with a higher price tag, so having the portability is a definite benefit. It’s also a big plug because you may not have the technical skills to hard wire your house for power and video signal. Both of those are typical household times that you might typically move around the home from room to room. The air purifier does have a power cord, but it’s the normal plug-in that an air purifier would have anyway, so it doesn’t look suspicious. If you're looking for a micro video camera, there are a few options to choose from. First you can take a look at our last post on the wireless mini camera. Today we're going to discuss making your own micro video camera using what's called a board camera. These are what are used to make most hidden cameras.
Without a doubt the easiest micro video camera is a premade item like the products mentioned in our last post. These are self-recording devices that are ready to go. But you may have special needs where a premade device just won't work in your situation. Take a look at these board cameras:
These can be mounted into anything you want. You can use any existing object in your home or office and find a way to put one of these in. The main considerations for you are how are you going to power it and how are you going to record the video.You can either go hardwired or wireless for both the power and video. There are cables you can run that have both power and video all on one cable. But if the object is not in a situation you can run cable, then you can get go wireless.
To go wireless, you can install a long-life battery pack to power the camera, and a transmitter to send the video signal to a receiver. The drawback with this option is that you have limited recording time based on the battery life, and you still need to set up a receiver somewhere to record the video.

For some it’s a matter of security and protection, and for others it’s like the old candid camera show.The meaning of wireless mini camera is that there are no power cords or video cords that are needed to use it. And of course its mini in size.
